The North Face Presents: FIRST DESCENTS

2 short films on the theatrical big screen for the 1st time ever. Follow TNF athlete, Jim Morrison from the Himalaya to the Karakorum, reaching the top of the world's highest peaks, and skiing from the summits. The Lhotse Expedition took place with partner Hilaree Nelson, followed by the 2024 Great Trango Tower Expedition as Morrison returned to the mountains following the tragic loss of his partner while descending Manaslu in 2022. Jim Morrison recently descended from the summit of Mount Everest via the Hornbein Couloir on October 15. Together, these films showcase two expressions of mountain adventure, both driven by the same passion for the unknown.
