Digital FilmMaking - June 20-24
Lights, Camera, Action! ! Use the magic of movie technology to try your hand at live-action directing and filming. Learn valuable  filmmaking skills  like selecting shot sizes, camera angles, lighting and sound to tell stories. You'll create your own scripts in small groups, working behind and in front of the camera on location at a cool Historic Missoula locale.

Instructor Bios:

Taylor Lennox
Taylor Lennox is the festival coordinator for IWFF as well as a manager and projectionist at the Roxy Theater. Born and raised next to the Blackfoot River north-east of Missoula, Taylor has a BFA in Media Arts and a Minor in Wilderness Studies from the University of Montana. He worked as a camera operator and camera assistant for film and television across the globe before his return to Missoula to earn an MA in Economics. Backcountry trips, dogs, cool cameras, Dungeons and Dragons, circular economies, and worker-owned business models bring Taylor joy.

Katie Conrad
Katie Conrad is a Missoula artist and collaborator with her main focus being in dance. She has worked with the non-profit Turning the Wheel for 2 years; bringing dance, arts, and crafts to students all throughout MCPS. Katie recently taught as an assistant SPARK! Artist in partnership with RFA at Russell Elementary and is over the moon to continue to work with, inspire and create with Missoula’s youth! 

Lizzie Archer
Lizzie currently rehearses and performs with local professional modern dance company Bare Bait Dance. She is also the Programming Assistant for BBD's annual film festival, Kinetoscope and the Just Dance film series at the Roxy Theater.
